Kyowa Hakko to make changes to board, management

Kyowa Hakko Kirin Co. Ltd. said CEO Nobuo Hanai will take up the additional role of chairman of the board.

Hanai will step down from the role of president but will continue to be a representative director.

The company added that it will appoint Masashi Miyamoto as its president, COO and representative director.

Miyamoto serves as a director of the board and managing executive officer for corporate strategy and planning department.

In addition, Kyowa said Hiroyuki Kawai, its representative director and executive vice president, will retire.

The changes will be approved at the shareholders meeting in March 2018.
