Saipem secures 3 offshore engineering, construction contracts worth $400M

Saipem SpA said Oct. 15 that it landed $400 million worth of new offshore engineering and construction contracts in Azerbaijan, the North Sea and the Republic of Congo.

In Azerbaijan, a consortium comprised of Saipem subsidiary, Saipem Contracting Netherlands B.V.; Boshelf LLC; and STAR GULF FZCO were awarded a subsea, umbilical, riser and flowline contract by French oil major TOTAL SA in order to develop the Absheron field in the Caspian Sea.

In relation to the development of the Tolmount Main gas field in the Southern North Sea, the company bagged a contract for pipeline engineering, procurement, construction and installation works from Humberside Gathering System Limited on behalf of the Tolmount Development Partners Premier Oil PLC and Dana Petroleum Ltd.

In the Republic of Congo, the firm's subsidiary Boscongo SA was granted a modification, maintenance and operations contract by Eni SpA subsidiary Eni Congo SA. In particular, Boscongo SA will provide maintenance services, modifications and improvements on all Eni Congo offshore sites in the country over a 36-month period.
