Mercedes-Benz, 3 others to recall vehicles in South Korea

South Korea's transport ministry said March 2 that Daimler AG's Mercedes-Benz, British luxury sports car maker Aston Martin Holdings (UK) Ltd., Sweden's AB Volvo and U.S. motorcycle maker Indian Motorcycle Company will voluntary recall a total of 1,629 vehicles to repair faulty parts, Yonhap News Agency reported.

The car makers will pull out nine models, including the GLE 350 d 4MATIC coupe by Mercedes-Benz, which reportedly has a fragile front windshield, and the DB11 sports car by Aston Martin, which the ministry said has malfunctioning airbags.

Volvo's FH Cargo truck and Indian Roadmaster's two-wheeler model will also be recalled, the report said.

From March 5, owners of the affected car models can visit their vehicles' designated repair and service centers to replace the faulty parts for free, Yonhap said.
