The contract from the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, or NIAID, will see the Wilmington, Mass.-based company provide 200 employees who will be responsible for technical and support services required for biomedical research.
The contract will initially run through Sept. 13, 2019, but includes annual renewal options for an additional four years through Sept. 13, 2023.
According to Charles River, which provides research services to healthcare companies and government agencies, the contract will generate $18 million in revenues over the initial 12-month period, with modest increases in each of the subsequent periods.
