SEMAFO granted mining permit for Natougou project; construction to start soon

SEMAFO Inc. has been granted the mining permit for its Natougou gold project in Burkina Faso, allowing the development to proceed on schedule.

Construction at the project will start in the coming weeks, with the first gold pour expected in the second half of 2018, according to the Dec. 22 release.

During the first three years, average annual production at Natougou is estimated at over 226,000 ounces of gold at a total cash cost of US$283 per ounce and an all-in sustaining cost of US$374 per ounce.
