Faurecia teaming up with FAW on cockpit, sustainable mobility development

French auto parts maker Faurecia said June 11 that it agreed to a strategic partnership with China's FAW Group, which includes automaker FAW Car Co. Ltd., aimed at developing "cockpit of the future" technologies and sustainable mobility solutions.

The collaboration will provide services and solutions for FAW's high-end car brand Hongqi, such as connected, versatile and predictive seating. It will also address the brand's industrial design and perceived quality.

In addition, the companies will work on providing zero-emission and air-quality technologies for both commercial and passenger vehicles using battery packs, fuel cell systems and lightweight composite solutions.
