Hayashikane Sangyo fiscal Q3 profit climbs YOY

Hayashikane Sangyo Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2014, came to ¥33.51 per share, an increase from ¥10.78 per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥298.4 million, a gain from ¥96.0 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 2.1% from 0.7% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 5.0% year over year to ¥14.52 billion from ¥13.83 billion, and total operating expenses grew from the prior-year period to ¥13.97 billion from ¥13.61 billion.

Reported net income rose on an annual basis to ¥452.0 million, or ¥50.77 per share, from ¥192.0 million, or ¥21.56 per share.

As of Feb. 13, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.68.
