Amazon launches music-streaming service

Amazon.com Inc. on Oct. 12 launched a new paid music-streaming service offering millions of songs ad-free and with unlimited skips.

Amazon Music Unlimited costs $7.99 per month or $79 per year for Amazon Prime members, $9.99 per month for non-Prime members and $3.99 per month for a single Amazon Echo, Echo Dot or Amazon Tap device.

Amazon Music Unlimited will also soon introduce a family plan worth $14.99 monthly or $149 per year, allowing up to six family members to access the service.
