SEG International Q3 profit climbs 5.9% YOY

SEG International Bhd. said its normalized net income for the third quarter amounted to 4.2 million ringgits, a gain of 5.9% from 3.9 million ringgits in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis.

The normalized profit margin increased to 6.8% from 6.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue rose on an annual basis to 61.4 million ringgits from 59.9 million ringgits, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to 57.5 million ringgits from 58.2 million ringgits.

Reported net income fell on an annual basis to 5.3 million ringgits, or 0 sen per share, from 5.4 million ringgits, or 0 sen per share.

As of Nov. 11, US$1 was equivalent to 4.35 ringgits.
