Merit Medical Systems Inc. appointed Raul Parra as interim CFO after Bernard Birkett resigned to pursue other business opportunities.
Parra was most recently the corporate controller and vice president of accounting at Merit.
Merit Medical said Birkett's resignation is not related to any disagreement with the company's accounting principles or practices or financial statement disclosures.
South Jordan, Utah-based Merit Medical Systems designs, develops, manufactures and markets medical products for interventional and diagnostic procedures worldwide.
