BofA Merrill Lynch tops fintech common equity league table through Q3'16

Bank of America Merrill Lynch ledcommon equity underwriters in the industry for the nine months ended Sept. 30 thanks to its role on 's $525.1 millionfollow-on offering, which closed Sept. 8.

The company served as a bookmanager on the offering along with Credit Suisse Securities (USA) LLC. BofA Merrill Lynchearned deal credit of $409.0 million from three offerings through the firstthree quarters of 2016.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC earned the most deal creditfor debt offerings as of Sept. 30 with 11 offerings worth $1.80 billion. In thethird quarter, it served as the sole book manager on 's senior debtoffering and was among book managers for Fidelity National Information Services Inc.'s , and$500 millionsenior debt offerings.

Wells Fargo Securities LLC took the top spot in commonequity league table at the end of the third quarter with five offerings anddeal credit of $110.7 million. In the third quarter, it served as a bookmanager on Golub Capital BDCInc.'s $32.1million follow-on offering, Solar Senior Capital Ltd.'s follow-onoffering and Triangle Capital Corp.'s$134.2 millionfollow-on offering.

Citigroup Global Markets Inc. led through the firstthree quarters of 2016 by deal value for debtofferings in the sector, which includes investment companies, with 215offerings and $11.72 billion in deal value as of Sept. 30.During the third quarter, SNL credited Citigroup with 77 deals and deal creditof $3.44 billion, including its work on Fannie Mae's $3.50 billion and Freddie Mac's $2.25 billion seniordebt offerings.

Securitiesand investments

BofA Merrill Lynch continued totop SNL's common equity league table in the securities and investments sectorwith two offerings and deal credit of $257.5 million as of Sept. 30. The company did not work on any new commonequity raises in the third quarter.

In debt underwriting, led SNL's leaguetable by deal credit through the threequarters of 2016 with $11.53 billion in deal value and 19 offerings as of Sept.30.
