NatureCell Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter was a loss of 5.00 South Korean won per share, compared with a loss of 5.97 won per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of 246.1 million won, compared with a loss of 228.1 million won in the year-earlier period.
The normalized profit margin fell to negative 3.5% from negative 3.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue climbed year over year to 7.03 billion won from 6.71 billion won, and total operating expenses totaled 7.13 billion won, compared with 7.07 billion won in the prior-year period.
Reported net income came to a loss of 478.2 million won, or a loss of 9.72 won per share, compared to a loss of 372.9 million won, or a loss of 9.76 won per share, in the year-earlier period.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled a loss of 16.74 won per share, compared with 2.01 won per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was a loss of 759.8 million won, compared with income of 76.3 million won in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue increased 20.5% from the prior-year period to 30.55 billion won from 25.36 billion won, and total operating expenses rose 27.5% on an annual basis to 31.72 billion won from 24.87 billion won.
The company said reported net income came to a loss of 1.34 billion won, or a loss of 29.41 won per share, in the full year, compared with income of 1.90 billion won, or 50.00 won per share, the prior year.
As of Feb. 29, US$1 was equivalent to 1,241.88 South Korean won.
