Hoya Resort Q4 profit climbs YOY

Hoya Resort Hotel Group said its normalized net income for the fourth quarter came to 51 Taiwan cents per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus estimate of 60 cents per share.

EPS climbed year over year from 50 cents.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was NT$22.9 million, a gain from NT$22.4 million in the year-earlier period.

The normalized profit margin climbed to 10.5% from 10.0% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue fell on an annual basis to NT$217.7 million from NT$224.5 million, and total operating expenses fell on an annual basis to NT$183.6 million from NT$187.8 million.

Reported net income increased 83.5% from the prior-year period to NT$49.2 million, or NT$1.10 per share, from NT$26.8 million, or 60 cents per share.

For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled NT$2.36 per share, compared with the S&P Capital IQ consensus normalized EPS estimate of NT$4.98.

EPS declined 7.7% from NT$2.55 in the prior year.

Normalized net income was NT$105.1 million, a fall of 7.5% from NT$113.7 million in the prior year.

Full-year total revenue fell on an annual basis to NT$829.3 million from NT$841.8 million, and total operating expenses came to NT$660.5 million, compared with NT$655.7 million in the prior-year period.

The company said reported net income rose 75.6% on an annual basis to NT$263.7 million, or NT$5.91 per share, in the full year, from NT$150.2 million, or NT$3.37 per share.
