BNP Paribas appoints new country head for UK

BNP ParibasSA appointed Anne Marie Verstraeten to serve as U.K. country head.

She will replace Ludovic de Montille, who was appointednonexecutive U.K. group chairman and will take up an international clientrelationship-focused role on behalf of the group board.  

Verstraeten will oversee the French bank's eight businessesin the U.K., where it employs 7,500 workers. She had served since 2014 as countryhead for the Netherlands, having been country head for Canada from 2010 to2014.
