Mutual of Omaha Bank, PrimeLending team up to form new mortgage firm

Omaha, Neb.-basedMutual of Omaha Bankand Dallas-based PrimeLending, aPlainsCapital Co. entered into a joint venture to form Mutual of OmahaMortgage, according to an April 13 news release.

Mutual of Omaha Mortgagewill provide an array of home-financing services, including assistance fromapplication to closing.

The newly formed firm,which will be owned by Mutual of Omaha Bank and PrimeLending Ventures Management LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of PrimeLending,will start operations in the third quarter. It will be managed by a jointoperating committee, with representation from both parties, the release added.
