Strategic Energy Resources defines initial resource for Ambergate HMS property

Strategic Energy Resources Ltd. announced an initial JORC-compliant resource for its Ambergate heavy mineral sands property in Western Australia.

The property hosts inferred resources of 7.8 million tonnes grading 5.1% heavy minerals for a total heavy mineral content of 394,000 tonnes, using a cutoff of 3%, according to the Jan. 30 news release.

The company, which is undertaking metallurgical testing and landholder negotiations, said the Ambergate resource could probably be upgraded with some additional drilling and data collection.

Including Ambergate, Strategic Energy has five mineral sands projects in the region.
