Nuclear update: US output tops 93% as Browns Ferry 1 ramps up

Total U.S. nuclear plant availability topped the 93% level early Feb. 22 at 93.24%, up from 92.94% on Feb. 21 and much higher than the 92.51% reported on the same day a year ago.

Giving a small boost to total output was the full return of Tennessee Valley Authority's Browns Ferry 1 in Alabama. The unit was operating at 100% power early Feb. 22, up from 78% on Feb. 21.

As of early Feb. 22, six units remain offline.
