Fraser & Neave Holdings Bhd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended March 31 came to 15 Malaysian sen per share, an increase from 14 sen per share in the prior-year period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 54.1 million ringgits, a gain from 51.7 million ringgits in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 5.8% from 5.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue totaled 939.9 million ringgits, compared with 935.4 million ringgits in the year-earlier period, and total operating expenses totaled 855.0 million ringgits, compared with 853.6 million ringgits in the prior-year period.
Reported net income grew from the prior-year period to 70.3 million ringgits, or 19 sen per share, from 68.2 million ringgits, or 19 sen per share.
As of May 5, US$1 was equivalent to 3.60 ringgits.
