Alfredo Castelo has succeeded Jaime Tamayo as president and CEO of MAPFRE USA Corp. Inc. and the MAPFRE North America region.

Tamayo was previously promoted to CEO of the international territorial area of MAPFRE, where he will oversee the North America, Europe and Asia Pacific regions.

Castelo has worked at MAPFRE since 2004 and has held various executive positions, including chairman and CEO of MAPFRE Global Risks and CEO of MAPFRE CAUCIÓN Y CRÉDITO, and senior management roles at MAPFRE EMPRESAS and MAPFRE INTERNACIONAL. He was named third vice chairman of the global businesses management committee in October 2010 and serves as vice chairman of Solunion.
