Atlas Honda Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Sept. 30 came to 4.32 Pakistani rupees per share, an increase of 14.2% from 3.78 rupees per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 446.7 million rupees, an increase of 14.2% from 391.1 million rupees in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to 4.2% from 3.6% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue totaled 10.64 billion rupees, compared with 10.74 billion rupees in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses declined from the prior-year period to 9.93 billion rupees from 10.11 billion rupees.
Reported net income grew 14.0% on an annual basis to 529.4 million rupees, or 5.12 rupees per share, from 464.4 million rupees, or 4.49 rupees per share.
As of Nov. 27, US$1 was equivalent to 101.77 Pakistani rupees.
