Report: Banco Security increases capital with 50B Chilean pesos

Chile's Banco Security SA carried out a capital increase of 50 billion Chilean pesos through the issuance of 17.5 million new shares, according to a report in Diario Financiero.

The bank, which is owned by Grupo Security SA, reportedly carried out the increase in order to bolster its capital position and prepare for potential future capital requirements, according to the publication.

As of Dec. 26, US$1 was equivalent to 618.25 Chilean pesos.
