Elon Musk has had the Facebook Inc. pages for Tesla Inc. and Space Exploration Technologies Corp. deleted amid the social network's data breach scandal.

The pages disappeared shortly after the CEO of the two companies exchanged Twitter posts with users who suggested the removal of his companies' official Facebook profiles. The move came across as part of the ongoing #DeleteFacebook movement, an online protest resulting from the social media giant's mishandling of personal user data involving political data analytics firm Cambridge Analytica LLC, which allegedly improperly collected Facebook data to target voters in the U.S.

Facebook recently suspended the accounts of Strategic Communication Laboratories and Cambridge Analytica for violating the platform's personal data policies.

The social media giant's founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg is expected to be called to testify before the U.S. Congress.

Facebook is facing probes from the U.S. Federal Trade Commission, the German government and Italy's Agcom regarding the data breach.

About 20 officials of the U.K.'s Information Commissioner's Office searched Cambridge Analytica's London offices on the evening of March 23 shortly after securing a High Court warrant, with the search ending in the early hours of March 24, according to Reuters.

In India, Cambridge Analytica is facing an investigation into its alleged involvement in the unauthorized data access of Indian citizens' Facebook profiles. The notice follows local media reports that Indian political parties had engaged its services in elections.

The British analytics company has until March 31 to respond to the inquiry by India's IT ministry, Reuters wrote.

India is poised for a general election in 2019, while several states are to vote for new assemblies in 2018 and 2019.
