Facebook launches group video chat for Messenger

Facebook Inc. launched its group video chat feature for its Messenger app.

Users can see up to six people at a time, and up to 50 people can join and listen in on the conversation. In case of more than six participants, others can choose to listen in, participate via voice or be on camera, with only the dominant speaker shown to all participants, Facebook announced Dec. 19.

The feature is available immediately for iOS and Android devices, as well as for the desktop version of Messenger.
