New Plus Knitting Q1 profit climbs 26.2% YOY

New Plus Knitting Public Company Ltd said its first-quarter normalized net income came to 88 satang per share, an increase of 26.2% from 70 satang per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was 8.8 million baht, a gain of 26.2% from 7.0 million baht in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin rose to 8.7% from 6.9% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue came to 101.1 million baht, compared with 101.3 million baht in the prior-year period, and total operating expenses declined from the prior-year period to 86.9 million baht from 88.9 million baht.

Reported net income rose 18.0% from the prior-year period to 10.3 million baht, or 1.03 baht per share, from 8.7 million baht, or 87 satang per share.

As of May 12, US$1 was equivalent to 33.74 baht.
