McDonald's Corp. signed Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. as its licensing and distribution partner for McCafé packaged coffee in the U.S. from 2020, ending its partnership with The Kraft Heinz Co.
Keurig Dr Pepper will become the exclusive manufacturer of the McCafé K-Cup pods in the U.S. and handle sourcing, distribution and marketing operations, according to a Sept. 26 release.
The beverage maker will also market McCafé products alongside its other brewing systems.
McDonald's said it will transition with Kraft Heinz and Keurig Dr Pepper in the second half of 2020.
