WisdomTreeInvestments Inc. has opened an office in Toronto and will begindistributing Canadian exchange-traded funds, pending regulatory approval.

The new ETFs will track several Canadian dollar-basedindexes operated by WisdomTree.

The company formed WisdomTree Asset Management Canada Inc.to operate in the country and named Raj Lala as head of WisdomTree Canada. Lalawas previously executive vice president of retail markets at Fiera Capital.Lara Misner, who was previously the chief compliance officer of PurposeInvestments, was named chief compliance officer for WisdomTree Canada.
