Tama Home Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal fourth quarter ended May 31 came to ¥101.52 per share, an increase from ¥98.15 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥3.05 billion, an increase from ¥2.95 billion in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin rose to 5.9% from 5.5% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue declined year over year to ¥51.38 billion from ¥53.40 billion, and total operating expenses decreased 4.9% on an annual basis to ¥46.24 billion from ¥48.63 billion.
Reported net income grew 49.7% on an annual basis to ¥2.90 billion, or ¥96.32 per share, from ¥1.93 billion, or ¥64.35 per share.
For the year, the company's normalized net income totaled ¥19.36 per share, a decrease of 54.7% from ¥42.77 per share in the prior year.
Normalized net income was ¥582.0 million, a fall of 54.7% from ¥1.29 billion in the prior year.
Full-year total revenue fell 7.5% from the prior-year period to ¥138.38 billion from ¥149.57 billion, and total operating expenses declined 7.3% year over year to ¥136.57 billion from ¥147.28 billion.
The company said reported net income came to a loss of ¥446.0 million, or a loss of ¥14.84 per share, in the full year, compared with a loss of ¥641.0 million, or a loss of ¥21.33 per share, the prior year.
