Show inspired by F. Scott Fitzgerald's last work debuting on Amazon

A new series based on F. Scott Fitzgerald's last novel "The Last Tycoon" will debut exclusively on Amazon.com Inc.'s Prime Video on July 28.

The show, starring Matt Bomer, Kelsey Grammer and Lily Collins, is inspired by the life of film mogul Irving Thalberg and set in Hollywood during the 1930s.

The pilot episode is available for preview on Amazon's website, while the remaining eight episodes will debut July 28 for Prime Video members worldwide.

"The Last Tycoon" is co-produced by Sony Corp.'s TriStar Television, with Academy Award nominee Billy Ray writing and directing multiple episodes. Ray also serves as the executive producer along with Christopher Keyser.
