Payments

MoneyGram International Inc. expanded its person-to-person debit card deposit service, launched in partnership with Visa Inc., to Spain and the Philippines. With Visa Direct, customers can send money in real time. MoneyGram customers can use the app or the MoneyGram website to send funds to other recipients' eligible Visa-branded debit cards. MoneyGram expects to launch the service to additional countries in the coming months.

Visa and NovoPayment Inc. expanded their partnership to allow financial institutions and merchants to deploy Visa's digital solutions in Latin America and the Caribbean. Visa also made an investment in NovoPayment.

Jack Henry & Associates Inc. rolled out an enhancement to its consumer bill pay product that allows financial institutions to provide near real-time card-funded bill payments using credit and debit cards as an alternative funding option.

Trading and investing

Citigroup Inc. appointed electronic trading platform provider Rapid Addition as one of its core FIX platform partners for currency trading. Citi integrated the Rapid Addition FIX engine, as well as the Rapid Addition Hub platform, in to its new pricing technology for spot foreign exchange transactions, which clients can connect to in co-locations.

Intercontinental Exchange Inc. added new functionality to ICE ETF Hub to support U.S.-listed fixed income exchange-traded funds. The new functionality enables authorized participants to submit creation/redemption orders for fixed income ETFs.

Data and information management

Envestnet | Yodlee and JPMorgan Chase & Co. signed a data-sharing agreement, under which JPMorgan customers can safely and securely connect to and send their financial information to the more than 1,200 third-party applications on the Envestnet | Yodlee financial data aggregation platform.
