Workers end strike at Anglo American's El Soldado copper mine in Chile

After reaching an agreement with the company, workers haveended a strike at Anglo AmericanPlc's ElSoldado copper mine in Chile, Reuters reported July 22, citing a unionofficial.

The workers downed tools at the mine on July 8, after failing tostrike a deal in contract discussions.  

The company was reportedly losing 130 tonnes of copper daily from ElSoldado mine due to the work stoppage.
