Vita Group fiscal H1 profit climbs YOY

Vita Group Ltd said its normalized net income for the fiscal first half ended Dec. 31, 2014, was 9 Australian cents per share, an increase from 3 cents per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was A$12.3 million, an increase from A$3.7 million in the prior-year period.

Total revenue grew 35.6% year over year to A$292.7 million from A$215.8 million, and total operating expenses climbed 29.4% on an annual basis to A$276.4 million from A$213.6 million.

Reported net income totaled A$13.4 million, or 9 cents per share, compared to a loss of A$15.2 million, or a loss of 11 cents per share, in the year-earlier period.
