J Escom Holdings Inc. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Dec. 31, 2015, amounted to a loss of 41 Japanese sen per share, compared with a loss of ¥1.84 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was a loss of ¥2.5 million, compared with a loss of ¥11.3 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin increased to negative 3.0% from negative 13.7% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue stayed flat year over year at ¥82.0 million, and total operating expenses declined on an annual basis to ¥84.0 million from ¥88.0 million.
Reported net income totaled a loss of ¥4.0 million, or a loss of 65 sen per share, compared to a loss of ¥19.0 million, or a loss of ¥3.11 per share, in the prior-year period.
