West Virginia-based Highlands Bankshares ups dividend

Highlands Bankshares Inc.'s board on Oct. 10 declared a quarterly dividend of 30 cents per share, payable Nov. 7 to stockholders of record as of Oct. 31.

The Petersburg, W.Va.-based company's previous dividend stood at 28 cents per share, according to SNL data.

Highlands Bankshares reported unaudited earnings of about $2.6 million, or $1.92 per share, for the nine-month period ended Sept. 30, compared to roughly $2.7 million, or $1.98 per share, earned during the year-ago period.
