General merchandise store operator Dollar Tree Inc. plans to hire 25,000 workers in the U.S. ahead of the holiday season, according to an Oct. 11 release.

The Virginia-based retailer will host its third annual nationwide hiring event at Dollar Tree and Family Dollar stores Oct. 17.

Dollar Tree is looking to hire permanent full-time and part-time employees to fill store manager, assistant store manager, cashier and stocking associate roles, as well as seasonal workers for the holiday season.
