AXA vice chairman resigns

Norbert Dentressangle resigned as vice chairman of AXA's board of directors and senior independent director, with effect from Dec. 14, to focus on his family-owned investment holding company.

André François-Poncet was appointed to the board with immediate effect to serve the remainder of Dentressangle's mandate, which expires as of the 2018 shareholder meeting. François-Poncet became a partner in investment company CIAM in September, AXA said.

The board appointed Jean-Martin Folz to replace Dentressangle as senior independent director. Folz has been a board member since 2007.
