Azimut Exploration Inc. discovered a high-grade gold-bearing vein system on the Eleonore South joint venture property in Quebec.
Channel composite samples from the Moni Prospect area assayed up to 79.6 g/t of gold over 4.25 meters and 79.5 g/t of gold over 5.87 meters.
The company said Oct. 17 that it plans to conduct additional drilling in the area in January 2018.
The Eleonore South joint venture is held 36.72% by Eastmain Resources Inc., 36.71% by Goldcorp Inc. and 26.57% by Azimut.
The discovery area is 15 kilometers from the Eleonore gold mine, which is owned and operated by Goldcorp.
