BNDES repays 30B reais to Brazil's Treasury

Banco Nacional de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Social said it made another 30 billion-Brazilian-real debt repayment to Brazil's National Treasury.

With the latest payment, which was approved in early November, BNDES has now returned 123 billion reais to the government.

When including some 9.5 billion reais of dividend payments, BNDES has repaid the government 132 billion reais, the development bank noted, above its previously announced target of 126 billion reais.

As of Dec. 10, US$1 was equivalent to 4.14 Brazilian reais.
