Affiliates of funds managed by affiliates of alternative investment manager Apollo Global Management Inc. completed the acquisition of photo retailer Snapfish LLC and the merger of Snapfish with Shutterfly Inc.

The Apollo funds acquired Shutterfly in September 2019, and upon closing of the Snapfish transaction, Snapfish owners became significant minority owners in the combined entity.

Shutterfly is a retailer and manufacturing platform for personalized products and communications. Snapfish is a San Francisco-based provider of online photo storage, sharing and printing services. Both companies were founded in 1999.
