Judge approves Goldman Sachs' $272M MBS settlement

Goldman SachsGroup Inc.'s residential MBS settlement has been approved by afederal judge.

The settlement, in which the investment bank will pay $272million, was originally agreed to in August 2015.

Plaintiffs charged Goldman Sachs with misrepresenting thesecurity of securities containing mortgages of low credit quality.

The bank denied the allegations but agreed to the payment.
