Alpha Bank completes securitization of SME loans

Alpha Bank AE said it completed a securitization of senior notes granted to Greek small and medium-sized enterprises for €320 million.

The European Bank for Reconstruction & Development said it invested €50 million in the transaction, with the European Investment Bank and Citigroup Inc. subscribing to the remaining notes.

The transaction is part of the Greek bank's strategic plan to diversify its funding sources and improve liquidity.

Citibank acted as the arranger of the transaction.
