Empire acquires Evolution's tenements adjoining Yuinmery copper-gold project

Empire Resources Ltd. exercised its option to acquire Evolution Mining Ltd.'s E57/681 and E57/1027 tenements that adjoin its Yuinmery copper-gold project in Western Australia.

Empire said a projectwide geological review of Yuinmery's geological potential is ongoing.

The company exercised its option to acquire the tenements in return for a 1.25% net smelter royalty, payable upon Evolution's earned portion of the tenements, which was 91.89% at the time of acquisition.

The remaining 8.11% is a contributing interest held by a third party.

In January 2017, the company said it entered into a two-year option agreement with Evolution Mining for a 91% interest in two exploration licenses at the northern boundary of the Yuinmery project.
