Asia's first shipment of LNG derived from U.S. shale gasis expected to arrive at GAIL India's Dabhol import terminal on the west coast ofIndia by mid-April, Bloomberg reported, citing a company spokeswoman. The LNG wasbought on a spot basis with a delivered price of about $5 per MMBtu, said two sources"with direct knowledge of the matter."
GAIL India and Cheniere have a 20-year signed in 2011, underwhich GAIL India committed to buy about 3.5 million tonnes per annum. Cheniere'ssecond cargo aboard the Clean Ocean LNG tanker sailed from Sabine Pass on March15.
