Munich Re US life biz CEO to depart

Michael DeKoning will not renew his contract with Munich Re, deciding to leave the company in January 2018.

DeKoning has been leading Munich Re's U.S. life business as president and CEO.

Marc-André Giguère will become president and CEO of Munich Re's U.S. life and health business, effective Jan. 1, 2018. He most recently led all areas of Munich Re's individual and group reinsurance teams and took charge of a strategic review for the company's U.S. health business.
