PayPal Holdings Inc.-backed fintech Raisin GmbH intends to launch in the U.S. market, Reuters reported.

The Berlin-based savings and investment marketplace is looking to attract savers to higher-yielding deposits that its banking partners offer.

Paul Knodel will lead the U.S. launch. His experience includes working at Citigroup and Merrill Lynch.
