Quálitas Controladora S.A.B. de C.V. said that Alejandro Meléndez González will step down as director of investments from its unit Quálitas Compañía de Seguros SA de C.V. on Jan. 1, 2017.

Meléndez has been part of the insurer's team for more than 10 years. The management of the company's investment portfolio will be supervised by the current investment team that is supported by the finance director and the investment committee, the company said in a Dec. 16 filing.
