Summit Hotel PropertiesInc. hiked its first-quarter cash dividend 12.8% quarter on quarter.

Following the increase, the dividend declared for the three-monthperiod ended March 31 amounts to 13.25 cents per share of the company's common stockand per common unit of limited partnership interest in its operating partnership,Summit Hotel OP LP.

The company said the dividend is payable May 31 to holders ofrecord as of May 16.
