Azearth fiscal Q3 profit climbs 17.9% YOY

Azearth Corp. said its normalized net income for the fiscal third quarter ended Jan. 31 came to ¥6.77 per share, a gain of 14.4% from ¥5.92 per share in the prior-year period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥41.3 million, a gain of 17.9% from ¥35.0 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin dropped to 1.5% from 1.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue climbed 29.3% year over year to ¥2.79 billion from ¥2.16 billion, and total operating expenses climbed 29.8% on an annual basis to ¥2.73 billion from ¥2.10 billion.

Reported net income increased 12.7% year over year to ¥38.3 million, or ¥6.29 per share, from ¥34.0 million, or ¥5.75 per share.
