Ya-Man fiscal Q2 profit climbs YOY

Ya-Man Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Oct. 31 was ¥1.42 per share, an increase from 30 sen per share in the year-earlier period.

Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥83.1 million, an increase from ¥17.5 million in the prior-year period.

The normalized profit margin increased to 2.1% from 0.6% in the year-earlier period.

Total revenue grew 25.6% on an annual basis to ¥3.87 billion from ¥3.08 billion, and total operating expenses increased 24.7% year over year to ¥3.75 billion from ¥3.01 billion.

Reported net income increased year over year to ¥67.0 million, or ¥1.15 per share, from ¥17.0 million, or 29 sen per share.

As of Dec. 14, US$1 was equivalent to ¥120.70.
