Raccoon Co. Ltd. said its normalized net income for the fiscal second quarter ended Oct. 31 was ¥3.23 per share, a gain of 61.6% from ¥2.00 per share in the year-earlier period.
Normalized net income, which excludes unusual gains or losses on a pre- and after-tax basis, was ¥59.4 million, a gain of 69.6% from ¥35.0 million in the prior-year period.
The normalized profit margin climbed to 11.7% from 1.4% in the year-earlier period.
Total revenue decreased 79.5% on an annual basis to ¥506.0 million from ¥2.47 billion, and total operating expenses fell 82.9% from the prior-year period to ¥413.0 million from ¥2.42 billion.
Reported net income increased 18.4% on an annual basis to ¥59.4 million, or ¥3.23 per share, from ¥50.2 million, or ¥2.86 per share.
As of Dec. 12, US$1 was equivalent to ¥118.57.
