Webster Financial prices $300M senior notes offering

Waterbury, Conn.-based Webster Financial Corp. priced an underwritten public offering of $300 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes due March 25, 2029.

The notes have an interest rate of 4.100% and were priced to yield 4.141%.

The company expects to use the net proceeds for general corporate purposes.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Sandler O'Neill & Partners LP and Merrill Lynch Pierce Fenner & Smith Inc. are acting as joint bookrunners for the offering.
